The Oshawa Art Association worked with Rick Kerr on his event called The Cycle. They asked him to help them find a home. The Holiday Inn Express has a vacant space for a big restaurant tenant. Rick pitched the concept for a pop-up art gallery. The OAA Board and the Inn together, they liked each other. Days later, Rick brought the decision-makers together along with Sue Lupton from Economic Development. Long story short, the OAA has got their home called Gallery 67.
The OAA founded in 1967 are launching their new art space called Gallery 67. An Exhibit and Grand Opening ceremony will be held on Tuesday, June 13th at 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Please join us at 6 p.m. and take a tour of the Holiday Inn Express! Ribbon Cutting and Official Opening Ceremonies to follow immediately at 7 p.m.
Thank you to all OAA volunteers who helped get the space ready for this opening, and to the collective effort of Oshawa’s Economic Development department, the facilitation of Councillor Rick Kerr, Oshawa BIA, Local Businesses and the full support of the hotel’s General Manager Sita Gardiner.
